Development of the City Strategy

In late 2000 - early 2001 Sovetsk participated at the Small Towns of Russia Program of the Open Society Institute (Soros Foundation). Group of Companies Invest In was hired to consult the city (read more about the Program on Open Society Institute website).

The group prepared and provided local authorities with the techniques and tools for business development, prepared a full description of two investment sites, and compiled a pack of additional legislative norms to make small business and investment environment friendly. Practicing our methodology local specialists have developed the City Strategy rated third among 35 cities and acknowledged to be the first for "Improving investment and business climate".
